Leonardo Blanco is one of San Marino’s most gifted and versatile young artists, moving with impressive ease from painting to sculpture to installation work.

Blanco has won a number of important competitions for public commissions, including one for a monumental outdoor sculpture standing at the entrance to the Republic of San Marino. In 2007, Blanco’s installation work ‘Nature’ at Venice’s international sculpture and installation exhibition OPEN 10 was highlighted by American art critic Edward Rubin in Los Angeles’ ArtUS magazine.

In 2009 Leonardo Blanco exhibited at the Venice Biennale.
